The Resident Evil 4 SDK is an editor for PMD files. Unlike the "PMD 2 SMD Converter" and "PMD Viewer," it is capable of extracting geometry from various files (including location files) and correctly assigning model materials. The SDK supports exporting in OBJ and SMD formats. It also features a built-in file browser for faster file management. Useful hotkeys include "Ctrl+O" for opening files and "Ctrl+S" for saving.

The model structure and its skeleton are displayed in a table, which can be useful for advanced users. The "Geometry" table lists all meshes, with the "Group" column indicating the group to which each mesh is attached, and the "Bone" column showing the main bone that the group is bound to. The "Triangles" column shows the number of polygons (triangles) in the model.
The texture name is displayed next to each model. To set a new texture, right-click on the model and select the "Set Texture" option from the context menu. You can then choose a new texture file.
